WTF IS THIS

discover holiday relief

The holidays are full of joy + cheer, but they can also add stress to your budget. As a SunWest member, you can skip your December payment and lighten your financial burden. We’ll help you manage your money, so you can enjoy the moments that matter most.

how your skip payment works

  • Requests must be submitted by November 29, 2024
  • A one-time fee of $30 will be withdrawn from your account within 48 hours of your request being submitted

Things to remember:

  • When you skip your payment, interest continues to accrue on the loan balance, and the payment is added to the end of your term, extending your final loan payment date.
  • If your auto loan has Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP), skipping a payment may impact your coverage. Skipping a payment means your loan balance will be higher than originally scheduled, which could reduce the benefits you receive from GAP. Please review your GAP policy or contact us for more information.

*Terms, conditions and restrictions apply. Members in good standing are eligible to skip a payment on certain closed-end, non-real estate loans which are paid current to December of 2024. By skipping your loan payment for one month, you authorize SunWest to extend your final loan term by the commensurate number of days skipped. Interest will continue to accrue on your unpaid balance. If you make bi-weekly loan payments, you may skip a maximum of two payments. If you make weekly loan payments, you may skip a maximum of four payments. If you have made advance payments through December, we will skip your January payment. Any loan already paid through January 2025 is not eligible for this program. All other terms and conditions of the original loan agreement remain in force. If you have purchased GAP, refer to your policy for additional information. Mortgages, Second Mortgages, home equity lines of credit (HELOC), lines of credit, credit cards, share secured, share certificate secured loans and credit builder loans are not eligible. This offer may be modified or canceled at any time. A $30 fee per loan will be deducted from your SunWest account within 48 hours of your skip a pay request. Offer ends November 29, 2024. Any requests to skip your December loan payment after November 29th will incur an additional $10 fee per loan skipped. Each eligible loan may only be skipped once in 2024. Questions?
