How do I set up my online account?

All you need to get started online is your member number and your SSN. From your desktop, visit https://online.mysunwest.com/auth/Enrollment.

Can I transfer money to other bank accounts online?

You sure can! At SunWest, you have access to free Billpay, Zelle, and TransferNow. Whether you need to pay a bill, transfer to an external account of your own, or pay a friend back for lunch, we got you.

Can I use Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay?

You betcha! Visit https://www.mysunwest.com/mobile-wallet for more information about Mobile Wallet and how to set up Mobile Wallet for your account.

How do I deposit checks online?

Sign into your account on the MySunWest app, and click on “Deposit”. If you are eligible for mobile deposit, you’ll be prompted to take a front and back photo. To meet eligibility requirements your account must be open for 30 days, and you must make a minimum of $400 in deposits within a month.

Are funds available right away with mobile deposit?

Checks deposited via mobile deposit are typically made available within 2-3 business days. However, always check your available balance before attempting to use these funds.

Do you participate in the shared branching network?

Yep, SunWest is part of the CO-OP Network that connects credit unions throughout all 50 states.

Can I use any ATM?

You can use any ATM that accepts Mastercard, however, they may charge a fee. SunWest partners with the CO-OP Network, as well as Allpoint to give you fee-free options throughout the United States, and even certain international countries.

Does SunWest charge ATM fees?

You will never be charged for using a SunWest ATM, and you can use other ATMs 5 times each month with no fee from us. If you go over that 5, you may see a “Foreign ATM Fee” of $5 on your account. Keep in mind that although SunWest may not charge a fee to use another ATM, the terminal provider may, so it’s important to check before using their ATM.

What is overdraft protection?

Overdraft protection is when a transaction comes through your checking account, but you don’t have enough money in the checking to cover it. Your account will automatically pull from either your savings or a line of credit to cover you and make the payment, so you aren’t charged a $32 overdraft or non-sufficient funds fee.

Do I have to have my savings set up for overdraft protection?

When you open your account, savings will automatically be set as an overdraft protection option. If you would like to remove that, just give us a call at 602.866.1100

Am I charged for overdraft protection?

You are not charged for overdraft protection. However, you will be charged $32 for courtesy pay transactions. This is when you do not have funds in savings or a line of credit to cover the charge, so SunWest pays on your behalf, taking your account negative, and giving you 30 days to pay it back.
